The school has a lively and active Governing Body. We hold meetings between four and six times a year. Our role is to act as a critical friend and govern the school for the maximum benefit of each child. We support the Headteacher in her work and are constantly looking to improve how we do things. We are always interested in your views and will let you know what happens at our meetings through a newsletter.
Each Governor sits on either the Resource Management Committee (RMC) or Curriculum Standards and Committee Links Committee (CSCLC) Committee. Some Governors have specialist roles eg Safeguarding Children, Community Links, Class governor.
HOW TO CONTACT THE GOVERNORS:
Governors can be contacted via the school office. Correspondence may also be sent to the Chair or Clerk to Governors via the school.
It is now a statutory requirement for Governing Bodies to publish information about themselves. The following is the information for the Governing Body at Bakewell Methodist Junior School. No members of the Governing Body are partners of any staff at the school. Mrs Fiona Swain is Clerk to Governors.
